SLOW LIGHT

Each winter, as the days shorten and the light cools, I feel myself move more slowly. In this series of paintings, I worked more slowly than typical, carefully placing marks and deliberately choosing a palette of pale colored backgrounds. I’ve spent the majority of my life in New England and the Midwest where we experience a dramatic shift in season that I reflect throughout the year in my work.
